Gunnar Hybrid F1

Lyn Hall has been invited by Artem Tambiev, President NeoArt Group to present a number of seminars at this years Moscow International Framing Forum (MIFF) on 26th to 28th September.  It will be held at the Moscow Solokniki Exhibition Centre and Lyn will be presenting a number of specialist framing techniques including Textiles/Embroideries and Conservation Techniques, following on from the very successful inaugral event in 2012.

Since Gerty the Gunnar arrived, I am absolutely amazed at how it has transformed my business.   In the beginning, I was very anti-computerised cutters since I was known for my mount cutting skills which had always been achieved by hand on a Keencut mount cutter, and I felt it was 'cheating' if I succumbed to automation.   However, since ‘her’ arrival, I have been overwhelmed by the possibilities and my customers absolutely love the total individuality that I  can now achieve.  My sincere thanks go to Sarah of Gunnar who has helped this technophobe into the next phase of her “mad mountcutting” career.

Lyn has been invited back to Moscow in September for the annual Framers conference.  The organisers asked this question of Sarah Osborne from Gunnar UK     "Also I know your installed Gunnar to Lyn Hall.   She is rather well known here and I suppose some notes about why even framer known as the ‘best mountcutter’ decided to buy a CMC will be very appropriate".

Starfish Enterprise was started this year with friend and fellow artist Fi Channon ( She has long been a customer, and we decided to pool our ideas and market some new products.   We have just introduced a range of “Fun Photo Mounts” for 4x6” photographs.  These mounts are for sale in our Starfish shops and are available by mail order.  They can be used as a stand-alone product, but will also fit into an 8x10” frame.  They are in a variety of colours and designs.  Take a look in our Shop.  We can also offer a framing service when required.  More details by request.
