2011 FATG Mountcutting and Design Award.
Lyn has won the 2011 Fine Art Trade Guild Competition for Mount Cutting and Design. The competition was entitled “Collectibles”.  Lyn has collected brooches for many years and chose to design an Art Deco themed presentation.  The photograph shows the detailed Mountcutting, the box is lined with mirror, both on the base and into the rebate of the very deep outer frame.

Life The Gallery

I have had the pleasure of working closely with Martin and Kerry Kelly who opened Life the Gallery, Runfold, Farnham in 2010. It is a beautiful gallery situated in the grounds of The Packhouse Antiques Centre, which has been totally renovated into a contemporary and relaxing haven for wonderful pieces of art. Martin and Kerry have an extensive programme of Shows and I would recommend wholeheartedly that you take a trip down there sometime to view the varying types of artwork. As the name suggests, most of the work is figurative and at present, their Artist in Residence is Anastasia Wildig, who trained in Florence. She specialises in Still Life and figurative work. Currently they have their Summer Show running where many different artists are exhibiting including Mark Dempsteader, Bill Bates and Fletcher Sibthorp to name but a few. www.lifethegallery.com

Inspired Art

I have worked for many years with a lovely lady, Fi Channon who is an Inspirational Artist and Healer. Her work is extremely unusual in that it is full of “hidden” objects and it is for the onlooker to find them all. The colours are wonderful, and some of the paintings are relaxing whilst others are bold and dramatic. I recommend that you take a look at her website where you can view her online gallery. She exhibits regularly and is always looking for new exciting venues. If you are interested, contact her through her website at www.inspiredart.info

New Products: Glass

We are now stocking a comprehensive range of UV Protective Glass including Truvue Conservation Clear and Schott Mirorgard Waterwhite UV.   Whilst the Waterwhite UV is expensive it is proving to be a best seller because not only does it give above 90% protection to your artwork from UV rays, it also does not distort the colours in your artwork and gives the appearance of having no glass at all.  Amazing!!!  For full details of specification and price please contact us. Examples are available for viewing in the workshop.

Giclee Printing

Giclee printing is a digital printing process which makes it possible for Artists and Photographers to have their work put into print, without the commitment of having to print "long runs". The costs are not prohibitive and the reproduction is first class. If you have ever considered putting your artwork into Limited or Special editions, contact us for more information about this process.
